Why local matters

Folkestone's older buildings need different care.

Folkestone grew as a Victorian resort and it still shows: grand villas and terraces along the Leas and around the Bayle, Georgian streets in the old town, then a thick belt of Victorian and Edwardian terraces running back toward the town centre and Cheriton. The Old High Street and the harbour area have a different character again, with older fabric and plenty of renovated flats. That range of building ages means no single paint system works everywhere. Older lime plaster needs breathable, vapour-permeable coatings, not modern sealed emulsions that trap damp, and original sash windows - very common along the Leas - need the right primer and paint sequence so they keep sliding.

We treat these as genuinely different jobs, not variations on the same one - which is also why our room painting prices gives a range rather than a single flat number per room.

Landlord or selling up?

End-of-tenancy refresh packages.

A high-efficiency touch-up service built for the turnaround between tenants or ahead of a sale - not a full redecoration, just what's needed to present the property well, done quickly.

Our promise

Four things you can hold us to.

£

Fixed price, published up front.

Our room painting prices is real and public, not a "call for a quote" teaser. Unexpected finds are flagged and priced separately before we continue.

✓

Same person, start to finish.

The person who quotes your job is the person who paints it. No subcontracted crews, no franchise call centre.

↻

Prepared for old buildings.

Folkestone's Victorian villas and Georgian terraces get treated as what they are, not painted like a modern new-build.

Same-day quotes.

Photos over WhatsApp or the quick-quote form above are usually enough for a firm price the same day.

Questions

A few things people ask.

How much does it cost to paint a bedroom in Folkestone?

Our room painting prices start from £325 for a small or single bedroom, £425 for a double bedroom and £525 for a large or master bedroom. Final prices are confirmed before work begins and fixed once agreed.

Do you paint the Victorian villas along the Leas?

Yes - a good share of our work is on older Victorian and Georgian homes around the Leas, the Bayle and the old town, which need breathable coatings and proper sash window prep rather than a modern sealed paint system.

What's included in your quoted prices?

Standard trade paint and labour, two coats of emulsion on walls and ceilings, minor crack and hole filling, light sanding and surface preparation, protection of floors and furniture, and cleaning up afterwards. Extras such as skirting boards, doors and feature walls are priced from £75 to £95. We confirm the exact price before starting, and it is fixed once agreed.
